    That is the truth …
That is the truth because I remember that my mother used to say if you want your hair to grow wear it in a bun every day and leave it alone. remember back in the day when wearing your hair loose was a big deal? You only did it on special occasions, other than that, it was braids. I stayed wearing buns ALL my life. Even when I had permed hair, it was HEALTHY permed hair because I kept it in braids or buns. I love my ponytails, braids and buns I don’t care!

Great video, as usual. I’ve been natural since 2006 and have little growth, so you sharing this part of your journey and one of the sources that facilitated a turning point for you is appreciated. the fact that I may find it at the library is a SUPER bonus. Hopefully I will learn some good habits to pass on to my little girl. Thanks for sharing.

We appreciate all your time and energy when you do post videos! I would be lost without your information and the creative way you share it!

Another thing that I learned that causes knots is shed hair that isn’t removed when detangling and styling your hair. You know how you run your hands over your hair (front to back) and there’s shed hair on your hands, putting your hands back in your hair redeposits it into your hair and could possibly cause your hair to knot.

    It’s a shame you …
It’s a shame you have to remind people that you’re a real person with a real LIFE. But it was funny how you did it. :) I appreciated seeing the pictures of your hair over the years. What a difference education makes! And thank you for emphasizing the fact that moisture = water. I don’t know WHY some folks still don’t get this. Maybe it’s because we’re still so hung up on the notion that water is bad and grease is good? I dunno…anyway, thanks for the video!

totally agree about not having your hair out all the time. I did my BC in Nov 19th and its now just over 2 months and my hairs grown so rapidly from almost bald (lol) to about 3 1/2 inches in two months. I always wear head scarfs during the day and I believe this is why! :)

What about Lynn.! I think. She needs to let her teenage daughters know whose boss. I like Vicky now. I think that Donn and her have the most solid relationship. They have fallen back in love with each other. I love that about them. They got refocused quick after last season.

    Im so glad you …
Im so glad you addressed the styling issue. I like to think that i had longer than average relaxed hair, and people you to stay stuff like, oh you have long hair but you dont do anything to it. Yeah, If it wasnt wrapped (which I used heat once a week), it was in a ponytail. Cause the same people who had something to say about my lack of styling, had to wear weave just to get a descent length to style
