Women’s hair loss is an issue that the women in my family struggle with but have never wanted to discuss openly. For a woman, losing her hair means losing her feminine identity. Not only does Dr. Reed understand the psyche of woman but he is able to take on this most difficult subject with expertise and grace. A must buy for anyone who struggles with hair loss or has a loved one who struggles.

This book is the best source of information that I have found (and I’ve read alot on this subject). It clears up all the confusing information that is out there and gives clear direction regarding what works, what doesn’t and why.

This book is a must-read for any woman who has struggled with hair loss as well as their families. Dr. Reed breaks down the science easily and explains WHY this is happening to us as well as outlining what options we have to treat it. Seeing a hair loss expert like Dr. Reed may not be feasible for many people (either due to geography or economy) so this was essentially a consultation with the expert without flying to New York and actually going to his office. His compassion and expertise is clear. I have read many books on the topic and I highly recommend this one.

Dr. Reed is a wonderful doctor, and he’s doing a great service for women with Female Pattern Hair Loss here. This book should give hope and much-needed help to many, many thousands of women. Dr. Reed’s compassion for women with this condition really comes through on the page. I like the cover art, too.
