I have very thin hair, and it’s very damage-prone, although I don’t color, blow-dry, or perm it. I wash it every other day. I have been told that I should get it trimmed once a month, 1/2 inch. Is this right? If not, what should I do? Any other tips to make my hair grow?

That’s about right. Every month to every other month getting 1/2 inch to an inch cut each time. There are also certain kinds of shampoos and conditioners you can buy to "thicken" thin hair so it’s less damage-prone. Hope this helped. :]

In your situation, I would get it trimmed 1/2-1 inch every 2 or 3 weeks.
