i have a 12yo and her hair is only 3″ long and she is constantly using prostyle gel to style her hair and i know its bad for her hair but that is the only product that will keep her hair looking decent. she wants longer hair and i told her to cut it off into a style and start fresh but she is afraid what her friends will say and she dont like weaves. i dont know what product she can use that is actually healthy for her hair and also keeps it in line. Youre hair is due to GENETICS..if its not desteined to grow…IT WONT GROW!!
for example, my hair is waist long because of not only patience and maintaining it BUT of my genetics.
thats why certain people cant grow thier hair past their shoulders or passed the nape of the neck!
plus, if a person keeps relaxing and using heat products..dont be usrprised if it breaks and falls out

I really hate to hear women put themselves down for any reason. All women are beautiful and we have to use tips and suggestions that work for us individually. I know that having the same length of hair can be discouraging but invest in ideas that encourages hair length. For instance, a relaxer is not for everyone. My hair can’t take a relaxer, it will fall out. I don’t use color and I also use silk products that encourage moisture in my hair. Be positive about your beauty. GOD is not the cause.

I’m a natural and I’m really enjoying your videos. I have a sister who relaxes and she only touches up her roots 2-3x a year. She has long hair. I just got her started on a new moisture/protein regimen which she loves. She now has her almond and castor oil that she puts on her hair and ends. I told her to stop the sulfate shampoos and lean toward organic or natural products. She say’s she’s never been happier with her hair.

correction- i WAS a greasy girl! that what i used to do to my hair to make it grow when i used to perm it… but i don’t have to do all that now cause i’m natural and i can moisturize without using greasy mineral oil/petroleum based products and i can trim it a lot less…. my hair right now is longer than it’s been in about 10years without it being greasy and gross
