Since i recently shaved my head and noticed that each time i did so my scalp would get dry and irratated i figured i’d head out and get a aftershave of sorts to correct this.What i found was this ,so i bought it and tried it out.Well you ask? Holy mother of god does it BURN!!!!!!!!!. i thought that after the irratation went away that everytime i used it the burn would slowly subside and then go away. WRONG!!!!!it feels like my head is crapping razorblades,it burns so bad that it actually brings tears to my eyes.I’ve since switched to the headblade line of products and haven’t had any discomfort associated with those. The only thing positive about this and the only reason i’m giving it 3 stars is that it does moisturize your skin ,or maybe thats just the freshly peeled layer of skin underneath.

I starting shaving my head about a week ago (love it!) and use this product to keep the noggin from flaking/razor bump.
First off I also use it in conjuction with Nivea for Men Sensitive Skin After shave and Nivea Sensitive Skin Shaving Gel w/Mach 3.
Pro’s
1)Great, clean feeling moisturizer. It doesn’t leave a greasy mess and has just the right amount of shine for me.
2)The smell. Smells great with a light, airy, subtle smell that doesn’t over power everyone within a 5 mile radius like other gels. Two thumbs up here.
3)So far I havn’t head a problem with razor bumps or flaky skin so it seems to be doing its job, the skin is soft to the touch.
Con’s
1)My head feels cool at first but then does gets slightly warm. Not really a minus but Nivea’s aftershave feels cool for much longer.
Also I’m not sure what the other reviewers were talking about because I did not experience any burning like they talked about…..I’m thinking they need to replace their razors a bit more frequently.
Overall this is highly recommended, does a great job with moisture but the smell is amazing.

This stuff is fantastic!
I started shaving my head about a month ago. After a few days, I had a very dry, flaky scalp… kind of like the peeling you would see after a bad sunburn.
I picked up a tube of Bald Guyz Moisture Gel. When I first put it on, as the other reviewer says, it burned! Pretty badly in fact. But I thought perhaps the burning meant it was working, so I kept with it. I used it after shaving my head in the evenings and again in the mornings.
After about 3 days, I noticed the burning was much less. After 4 or 5 days, the burning was down to less than you might expect from after-shave. With around three weeks of use, that is where the burning level has stayed – just a nice sting that only lasts several seconds. Really not a problem.
The good news is that the dry, flaky scalp issue has totally gone away. Also, the gel absorbs in just a minute or two, so even putting it on right before bedtime is not a problem… it does not rub off on the pillow or anything of that sort.
So yes, there is an issue of burning quite a bit when you first start using it if your scalp needs some heeling… but once the heeling is done, it is pretty great stuff. Now that I’m not having the flaky scalp problems, I only use it after shaving at night (or after a lot of time in the sun – as the package says, it is an after-shave/after-sun product).
Oh… and it only takes a small amount, just enough to rub around your head. So the 4oz tube is lasting me a very long time (after three weeks or so, I’ve used WAY less then half). Good value there.
I have to say I recommend it. Hope that is a help……..
